Skip breakfast? Think again!
🍽️ Skip breakfast? Think again! A study of teenagers showed that a late breakfast (11:00 a.m.) lowered blood sugar after lunch more than an early (8:30 a.m.) breakfast or none at all. 📉 This leads to subsequent hunger and the onset of the decline with typical fast sugars! This is due to the so-called second meal effect – when the first meal improves blood sugar control after the next. 🧬 A regular breakfast can prepare the metabolism for better glucose control during the day. And balanced nutrition = fewer glucose spikes and crashes. 🍊🥣
